We have so much in store this summer!  Most of our programs will be outside this summer in the fresh air.  If the weather proves to be uncooperative – we will move to an online format.  We are so excited to have you back at the library this summer!

Kick-Off Party

May 21st at 6:30 pm, we will have our summer reading kick-off party.  This is an outdoor event with information about our planned summer activities, and other organizations in the area will share their plans as well. Lots of other fun will be happening too;  a petting zoo and games available to play.

Food truck Taters & Toppings will be at our event, so be sure to stop by and purchase amazing food from them!

This is the first day to sign up for the summer reading challenge.  When you sign up, you will get a free tote, AND teens and children will get a pool pass!  We have many amazing prizes for children, teens, and adults this year, so be sure to sign up and start reading!

At 8:30 pm, we will have an outdoor movie event.  We will show Zootopia (PG). Please bring blankets and chairs for your family.  The library will hand out popsicles (as supplies last).

Summer Reading Challenge 2021 – Tails & Tales

Download the ReadSquared App to participate in our Summer Reading Challenge.

Carson Bank funded this reading program.  This first official week to pick up prizes is June 1st.  So when you sign up (you can starting May 21st), we encourage you to read, but the first-week prizes won’t be available until June 1st.

This challenge is available to Children, Teens, and Adults.  Please keep track of your reading time because we track our program through minutes read. If your child is too young to read (or your little brother or sister), we encourage you to read to them (it counts for both of you!).  Audiobooks, comic books, magazines, internet articles, rereading books – they all count!  So read the way you love to read!
