Cooking Classes to Begin!
Cooking classes are starting at the Mulvane Public Library for children, teens, and adults! Children and teens will focus on basic skills and learning yummy and healthy recipes that they could recreate at home. Adults will learn recipes from guest chefs that will surly enhance your recipe book at home.
Thursday, September 5th we will have a reception night where everyone is encouraged to come and view our new cooking equipment and it your first chance to sign up for upcoming cooking classes, including our roll out week!
Roll Out Week:
Monday, September 16th @ 6:00 pm: Marsha Slack, local cook and baker, will be here to teach adults how to make a classic dish healthier – cauliflower pizza & smoothies! Adults do need to register in advance by September 13th.
Tuesday, September 17th @ 4:00 pm: Kids in grades 4 -5 pm, Victoria will be teaching you how to make pancake art.
Tuesday, September 17th @ 5:30 pm: Kassie McCabe from Live Healthy for You will be here to do a healthy talk and will be giving tips on how to make easy changes to improve your lifestyle. Kassie is a certified health coach and focuses on holistic health – which focuses on not only on the body, but also mind and soul.
Wednesday, September 18th @ 3:30 pm: During Teen Scene we will be making foil packet dinners! A simple and fun recipe that teens can make at home in the oven or even while they are camping! Please register by September 17th!
Wednesday, September 18th @ 6:00 pm: Sharla will be baking desserts with our adult patrons. Learn how to make a treat with our favorite baker. Please register by September 16th.
Thursday, September 19th @ 6:30 pm: Local cookbook author, Sondra Langel, will be here to talk about her cookbook and to share some vintage cookware she has collected over the years. She wrote the book Thursday Afternoon Cooking Club in December 2018.
