KanRead is a consortium wide book club. Each library in our consortium is holding an event for the next 8 weeks that is centered around a Brother’s Grimm Story. You can pick up a copy of the book at any of the 8 libraries and you can attend every event! Be sure to register if it is necessary!
Week 1 August 31st from 6 -7 pm: Park City Library – Hansel and Gretel Join us for a story discussion!
Week 2 September 9th at 5:30 pm: Augusta Public Library – The Grateful Beasts Join us for a DIY night and talk of the Grateful Beasts. Registration is required for the Augusta Program. Register by September 2nd by calling 316-775-2681.
Week 3 September 17th at 7 pm: Derby Public Library – Snow Drop (Snow White) Join us for a murder mystery party. Registration is required for Derby Program. You can visit the Derby library or their website to sign up starting September 1st. Dinner will be provided. https://derbylibrary.com/
Week 4 September 20th at 6 pm: Mulvane Public Library – Frederick and Catherine Join us for a steak cooking demonstration outside! Registration is required for Mulvane Program. Register by calling the library at 316-777-1211
Week 5 September 30th from 5 – 7 pm: Rose Hill Public Library – Rose Bud (Sleeping Beauty) Join us for a fun night of relaxing. This come-and-go event will feature sleep talks, aromatherapy, and a massage chair!
Week 6 October 9th from 6 -8 pm: Goddard Public Library – Frog Prince Join us for a night of wine and board making! Registration is required for the Goddard Program. Registration will be through Eventbrite 4 weeks in advance. You can follow their Facebook or website for more details! https://www.goddardlibrary.com/
Week 7 October 12th at 6:30 pm: Bradford Public Library – Ashputel (Cinderella) Join us for a night of ballroom dancing!
Week 8 October 23rd from 12 – 3 pm: Andover Public Library – Event with Pricilla Howe, Food Trucks, and a Raffle!
At the end of our series, we will have a big event at Andover Public Library. There will be a raffle for awesome prizes, food trucks, and Priscilla Howe will be there to entertain us with her Grimm for Grownups presentation.
