New Facebook Groups!
Check out our new Facebook Groups!
We have three new groups on Facebook that we are excited for you to join and participate! They are designed to serve people with similar interests. They will be updated regularly with articles, recommendations, and questions to help engage those who join.
To join, go to the Mulvane Public Library’s Facebook Page. There should be a tab that says, “Groups.” Select the groups you would like to join; there might be a few questions – depending on the group.
We are excited to create a space that will allow more interaction with the public, but please be sure to read the rules. Also, know that many of the rules will be a reflection of the rules we have inside the library – and we do have the right to remove people from the group if they cannot follow them.
MPL Creative Writing Group:
Join this group and be surrounded by others who are looking into doing more creative writing! Whether it be to write a book or just have fun – this is the place for you. There will be writing prompts posted, articles shared, and the chance to share snippets of your work for others to review.
MPL Little Learners
Parents and caregivers in our community! Miss Victoria has set up a private group through our page for you to join! This will be a great way to learn early literacy tips, learn about child development, gather resources for activities to do at home with your littles, and network with other parents and caregivers. She’ll add some videos of songs and flannel stories, share about upcoming events in the community geared towards little ones, and much more! It’s also a way for her to share more information geared towards early childhood, so you are getting information specifically aimed at you and your family’s needs.
MPL Non-Fiction Readers
It’s an anti-book club! Well, not anti anti – we are just discussing the books on Facebook rather than in person. You get what I mean. Join this group if you enjoy reading to Non-Fiction and would like a place to read reviews/recommendations, write your review, and participate in a monthly discussion. While we will try to encompass the various aspects of non-fiction, it will have a focus on memoirs, self-help, and pop-science.
