Beach Day
Happy Thursday! Yesterday was a very wet and dreary morning. Not the best weather to talk about the beach, but we talking about how we could make believe that we were sitting on the beach, enjoying the warm sunshine and cool water.
We read the books: When a Dragon Moves In by Jodi Moore and Sandy Feet! Whose Feet? by Susan Wood.

Bubbles!
Happy Wednesday! It was a beautiful but chilly morning today! I am absolutely loving doing outdoor storytime and I think we will have to continue it in the fall and spring in the future when the weather cooperates.
Today we did a super fun Bubble-themed storytime! We read the books: Pop!: A Book about Bubbles by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley and How to Put an Octopus to Bed by Sherri Duskey. It was cool talking with the children about how bubbles are made, how big or small you can make them, where you play with bubbles, and much more!
We sang some fun bubble songs:
Tiny Tim
I have a little turtle.
His name is Tiny Tim.
I put him in the bathtub
To see if he could swim.
He drank up all the water,
He ate up all the soap.
And now he’s home,
Sick in bed, with a bubble in his throat.
Bubble, bubble, bubble,
Bubble, bubble, Pop!
Bubble, bubble, bubble,
Bubble, bubble, Pop!
One Little Red Fish
One little red fish, swimming in the water,
swimming in the water, swimming in the water.
One little red fish, swimming in the water.
Bubble, bubble, bubble, bubble, POP!
Two little purple fish…
Three little green fish…
Four little yellow fish…
Five little blue fish…
