Did you know that you can have Facebook Live Storytimes with Miss Victoria 5 days a week (with an additional bedtime storytime every Tuesday!) That is six storytimes for you and your family to enjoy together! Her regular storytime is every weekday at 10:30 am, and her Bedtime Storytime is every Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
Can you not make those times – no big deal. Miss Victoria is saving them on our Facebook page so you can watch them when it is most convenient for you.
But that isn’t it! If you head over to our Stuck at Home Page, Miss Victoria has a section of things that you can do at home. Some things help with early literacy skills, learning games, and some are just plain old fun.
Submit art that you are doing at home during this social distancing time.We willshare the art on our website and Facebook so the whole community can see the artwork and be inspired! Art includes paints, chalk, quilts, wood, make-up looks, yarn – just about anything you do to craft! This event is for all ages! Art due by April 17th!
Submit a photo of your art to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Include your First Name, Age, & Art Medium in email.

What does this mean to our patrons…

Collections all searchable through the one catalog called KanShare.
Availability to pick-up and drop-off materials at any location. *Exceptions are large items like activity bags and cake pans, which must be picked-up and returned to the loaning library.
Speedier delivery of materials from KanShare Libraries.
Increased borrowing limits of materials in an effort to align borrowing rules across KanShare Libraries.
To log into your account: username=card number and password=last 4 digits of your phone number (# listed on your library account).
Once the Mulvane Public Library reopens, we will offer an “overdue fine forgiveness” period of two weeks. During this period, you would need to call or visit to update your info. In return, the Library will delete all overdue fines. Stay tuned for our reopening date and fine forgiveness dates!
Let us know if you have any questions or issues logging into your KanShare or Overdrive Account.
It is with a heavy heart that the Mulvane Public Library shuts down its physical location, effective immediately (March 18th), until further notice. Our dedicated staff made an effort to stay open longer than many libraries in our area, but cannot in good conscience do so any longer after recommendations to close by the American Library Association and many others. As this virus gains traction, germs may be spread by interactions with others, but possibly through the sharing of materials. The Library cannot risk the lives of its beloved community members, as much as we cherish our physical books. However, we can still share our love of literature and learning, as well as foster connections with the community. The Library will do this through Facebook Live programming (yay, Miss Victoria with Storytimes), increase availability of digital materials, and continue to share valuable online resources to families.
*Please note that fines and overdue materials will be taken care of, but if you need assistance accessing online materials or have questions, private message us or email email@example.com. We will continue to check messages regularly, as many of us work off-site.
