Join us as we celebrate the start of a great new school year at the Back-to-School Block Party with the Mulvane Public Library, Mulvane Rec Center, and Mulvane Parents as Teachers! There will be a ton of fun for the whole family to enjoy including clowns, face painting, bounce houses, free haircuts for kids, and more! We will also have a hot dog dinner available for $5.
The party will beTuesday, August 6th from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at the Mulvane Public Library. We hope you can make it to this fun event!
In May, the Mulvane Public Library received a grant from Cargill Inc. to purchase cooking programming tools for our library. Starting in September, the library will begin hosting cooking classes and programs to children, teens, and adults.
Our goal is to help teach cooking skills and share the fun of eating healthy to our patrons. We will be inviting different chefs and instructors to help teach these classes and bring unique learning experiences to our community. Keep an eye out for our programs starting in September and be sure to register!
Thank you again to Cargill for selecting our grant to fund! We are so excited to bring new programming to our community!
For our July Computer Class, we will be going over reading apps that you can use to check out e-books and e-audiobooks on your phone, tablet, or computer! We will be going over what our library offers and what you can find on the Kansas State Library Website. The class is on Monday, July 22nd, from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm. After is Ask Maggie from 7:00 pm – 7:30 pm. Ask Maggie is a free time that you are welcome to ask different technology questions to Maggie, and she will do her best to help!
