DIY Monday is November 8th at 6:30 PM. We are making Wax Sachets. These beautiful pieces are scented with essential oils and decorated with dried flowers. They can be stored in cupboards, pantries, and drawers, and they will keep those spaces smelling great. Wax sachets take a while to dry, so please try to come to the event at the beginning so you have time to finish the craft.
We have a lot of great picks for the month of November!
Books with Bite: We are meeting at Luciano’s on November 11th at 6:30 PM. We are reading The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave.
5K Bookclub: We are taking a walk and discussing Running with Sherman by Christopher McDougall. November 18th at 6:30 PM
Fiction & Friends: We are meeting a week early due to Thanksgiving, so we will be at the library on November 18th at 6:30 PM. (That does mean, patrons who come to Fiction and Friends and 5K will need to pick a book club to attend – we won’t be offended either way!) We are reading The Wonder Boy of Whistle Stop by Fannie Flagg.
Non-Fiction Readers: We are reading Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. You can join the discussion on our Facebook Group page.
Teen TikTok Book Club – We are reading Amari by B.B. Alston. Post your reaction to TikTok or Instagram and tag the library, @mulvanelib.
Maci Mishler with Kansas Medicare Advisors will be at the Mulvane Public Library tomorrow, November 4th, at 6:00 PM. She will be answering your Medicare questions and what has changed as we go into a new year.
